Gator Alley Band

The day was a beautiful day for an outside concert in the park. First let me start off by saying, “Happy Birthday to Sue”. It was here birthday party and what a party it was. It started with Jackie Rocks Band. This is a band of teens that will blow you away. I think the oldest one was 15 if I am not mistaken. You need to look this band up on myspace. You will surely enjoy them.
Next on stage was The Ty Oliver Band. Now this is the second time I have seen them and they are completely awesome. The band consist of Ty on guitar, Bobby on bass and Glenn on drums. They are an instrumental band but you are sure to enjoy their music. You can also look them up on myspace.
On with The Gator Alley Band. Outdoors is always sounds so much better. You have the wide open space, the woods and the crowd that rocks on to the music. They start up with “Working For MCA” and continue thru their set that always draws the ground in closer along with some that dance. The great thing about this is there is always people in the crowd singing the songs right along with the Mel. Who is always “Awesome” as the front man. You put Mel up front, Cutty, Pat, Mike, Debbie on keys today, Jimmi back on bass, Paul on drums, Ginny & Jen on backup vocals and dancing, and look out. ‘IT IS ON”. The crowd goes nuts. Hands in the air, folks playing their air guitars, heads bobbin. You got one hell of a show.
As ususal they mingle out into the audience while performing and always get the crowd involved. I have always thought this makes a great band even GREATER. As a fan, I love it when they roam out into the crowd. Great job guys and girls. Can’t wait for next Saturday.
As you know I write a lot about this band as I am very proud of them. They have impressed me from day one when I first found there logo on a sign on highway 80. I looked them up on myspace, introduced myself to Mike. Got an interview. And the rest is history. Now we are family. I can not express enough that if any of you get the chance to see The Gator Alley Band, don’t miss it. You will be sorry.
Now I would like to personally thank the band for making us and my mom feel so important. They all spoil my mom and she feels like a queen. As you will see in the pics I post.
