Deford Bailey Music Festival You heard it here first.. Southern Fried Magazine creator Bruce Wall is involved in a new "annual music festival"... The festival will take place the first weekend of October in beautiful and historic Carthage, Tennessee. Events will begin Friday and last thru Sunday. The main concert event to take place Saturday evening. More details will be posted very soon, so keep checking in. Events include, Fireworks, Nashville writers performance, Harmonica Contests, Arts, Crafts, Food, Live Music, Auctions, Raffles to benefit several Charities (Some Raffle items will include Celebrity autographed guitars, etc), and MUCH, MUCH, more Confirmed Performers so far: The George McCorkle Band (Founding Member of the Original Marshall Tucker Band) Members of the DeFord Bailey Family Candy Coburn Deborah (JoJo) Billingsley-White (Of Lynyrd Skynyrd Fame) Eclipce Tentative acts: Jimmie Van Zant Beverley Mitchell Several VERY exciting acts are in negotiations and will be announced as they are "Officially" confirmed. Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Southern Rock, www.DeFordBaileyHarmonicaFest.comAll DSJ members will recieve special passes and VIP treatment. |

Let's see, that's the 6th and 7th and Columbus day weekend. I think I'm gonna start workin' on it. Sounds like a great weekend, Harmonica contest huh? I have a friend named thingyie Adkins that I wish I could find. That man can play! That's hilarious!! as to when tickets go on sale and seating arrangements Will there be a reserved section like the FRONT ROW for DSJ-ers but it really don't make no matter, ITS ALL GOOD just seeing you and Dee Dee and Fellow Jukers is good enough for me and Mrs H. I will never forgit meeting your wife and her marm. We were going into our hotel and sawded two girls coming up behind us with luggage and Mrs Hooty says you better hold the door open for them ladies or I will kick the crap out of you again. Me being the MANLY MAN that I am who didn't want to go thru his 212th ass whooping politely held the door open and thats when Dee Dee noticed our Skynyrd shirts and immediately knew that we were in the same family
Can't wait till October
