Carol, a member of the LYNYRD SKYNYRD BAND,recently took part in the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME induction ceremonies in New York City, as L.S. was recognized by the organization for their timeless music and hard-working legacy. It was a long way from the western plains of the North Dakota where she was born and raised, but she has been a part of the music business as a singer and song-writer from L.A. to Nashville, and this was just another exciting event that she's been able to be included in.
In the late 90's, while she and a co-writer were song-writing in Nashville, she got a call from her friend Rickey Medlocke, who informed her that he was back in Lynyrd Skynyrd and that there was an opening for a back-up singer. Two days later she arrived in Ft. Meyers, Fl. to audition for the band and was hired to start touring with them in two weeks.
She has been with the band ever since, touring and recording with them. In 2005 she recorded her own solo c.d.. entitled 'BLUE HIGHWAY'. The L.S. band continues on as the classic Southern rock band of all times, playing for capacity crowds.
When not on tour, Carol likes to write songs, play golf, snow ski, read, knit, exercise, oil-paint, and hang out with her friends and her daughter. There's never a dull moment and never a moment to waste.
