I have to say this....Bruce, Denise, George, Vivi, and Justin. There is alot of love pouring out on this board for all of you. When we say we are family, that is exactly what we are. How many other boards do you know of that can say that? I know I sit here reading with tears in my eyes hearing each and every one of us reaching out in a time of need. Family, YES, that is what we are. God Bless everyone for your word of love and Blessings. I love you all

We Just got home from Cape May & AC just now. Both Eddy and I are are truly sorry for the loss of the MTB legend and of your best friend Bruce. Are prayers are with you and the McCorkel family Thanks for telling us Susan. It was very very nice what you wrote about George. I think that it was neat thing that they did for him with the tour bus ride.

(Just so there aren't too many George post to confuse everyone I will post this here...) My apologies for writing this late but I've been away since Thursday helping my gf move into a house.
Just to let ya'll know that it was a very touching get together in Carthage yesterday. There were old videos of MTB and some new footage from the Renegades Tour that Rick shot in December. Also George's last performance which was 3 weeks ago with Candy Coburn. Bruce was right ...that last performance was one of his best. He sang so well and played great like there was nothing wrong. A great showman indeed. He wasn't about to let that pain get in his way. There was quite the music group of folks that came on by, mostly who George jammed with on the albums through out his career along with producers and good ole friends. Georges brother was there. It sure was good to see Scott Braswell there. Wow dude that was comforting to see ya.Thanks !!!
Bobby and Jenny also from the DSJ group was there ,great to see them also. Bruce and Denise are hanging in there and being very strong ,and comforting Viv as much as possible. Numb was the most used word yesterday from a lot of folks.
Jonell Mosser sang a song for George after the visiting hours were over...just for the family.
Well guys that's really all there is to say, I'm not a journalist , but after seeing George all duded up in his western shirt and bluejeans ....I will say he looked very good and also he looked so young.
I myself still can't believe he's gone.

OH MY GOD! Bruce, I am so sorry my friend and my heart also goes out to you. For some reason I just heard the news this morning and I could not believe it. I could not log on until now as I was on the road for business, but you were in my thoughts all day. I had tears streaming down my cheeks even though I was never lucky enough to know George like you, but I felt that I did through your stories. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family and everyone here. I have just been away taking care of personal things in my life right now. RIP George, enjoy your jams with Toy and Tommy! Take care!

well i have waited to reply to this as i havent any words to say that will make the pain i know you and family must feel at this time Bruce, because i know where you are at...all the prayers and well wishes are wonderful but your heart has a huge hole that cant be filled at this moment, as i type this i cant hold back the tears, for your pain and my own... its been a year for me and i don't envy the road you must travel right now i look back on it and it and it tears my heart out still...but the one thing that i can say is despite the pain i feel i think of the fact that i had the pleasure of knowing my friend Duane even though the time was brief , it still was an honor and something i will never forget...all i can seem to say Bruce is i know its REAL tough but at least you had the honor and pleasure of George's friendship...stay strong my friend...one day at a time

I just stopped by today to say hi, and saw this. I couldn't go without giving my condolences to all of you. I'm sorry for your loss, and sorry that I didn't see this any sooner. May God continue to give peace to all.
