The actual big party with the bands and the jammers and stuff is on Saturday, PB. But I'm sure most of us will be hanging out there on Friday too, helping set up and getting it ready and visiting, etc. BTW, Susan, Randy, Craig and I are staying at the Knights Inn in Lebanon. It's a pretty cheap hotel, like $35 a night and probably not that great of a place but since we don't plan on spending a lot of time there, we're going for cheap. Especially us, because we'll be there 5 nights then heading off to Ohio for the SECOND half of our vacation, so we're on a tight budget. So, if anybody wants to see if they've still got room you might wanna do that. At least we'll be able to spend time with some of you folks if we're at the same hotel. www.sidestep.com/hotels-rates-h38811-lebanon_knights_inn_lebanon_tnAlso.....a couple of these reviews don't look great, so when I pointed them out to Susan she called them. They said if they've never had a complaint but if there was a problem that we wouldn't have to pay and we'll just go someplace else. Bruce told me Lebanon is about a 45 minute drive to his place. May not be real convenient but that's what we're doing as of right now. Just can't spend a whole bunch of money for a place we're not spending much time at.....some vacations you go for the fancy hotels and some ya don't. This one would be the cheaper hotel kind of vacations!

Ummmm, yeah.....that did cross my mind! Like I said, we'll check it out and if it's not a good place, we'll find something else.

Unless I'm flying, I ALWAYS take my own pillow. You wouldn't believe how many I've forgotten and left in hotel rooms......I've got 4 or 5 pillow cases with no partners! And yes I've seen and read about bedspreads and sheets even in the nicer hotels. According to Oprah.....don't EVER lay on top of the bedspread for reasons I probably don't need to go into.

I'm not worried about the motel. I'll be leaving early morning and getting in late. I gotta sleep and shower in it. It can't be any worse than a prison cell. This trip is costing alot and I need to save as much as we can so we can at least be there. And to be real honest, Randy and I need this trip for ourselves. I don't care if we have to sleep on the floor. Alot is riding on this trip and get away for us. We're family here and always have been. Things on the homefront are not so good, so we want to get away from the whole mess here and see how things go. I really think this trip is what we need, so where we sleep, makes no difference to me. As long as we are together and have some time to enjoy each other at some point. I can't wait to see you all. And the count down begins.

there were young folks ther last yr. He will have a great time. I would love it if you stayed at the same place. That would be cool. I just couldn't afford 80.00 rooms per night. Plus I have to pay for the company there to deliver oxygen in case i need it. that stuff starts adding up. Let me know where you are staying and we can all have breakfast sunday morning. us , teri and craig. It would be nice

I guess I could stay in the same hotel as Susan and ya'll if they have any rooms left. It should be me, Jenny & Jenna. Jen's mom & dad won't be coming. Guess it's the 1-1/2 hr drive. Don't know yet about Jen's brothers Fuzzy & JohnBoy. Bruce.....Jenna can't wait to spend some time with Nikki. Hope she will be there.

It is a little deceptive. Lebanon, and the hotel (Knight's Inn) is at Exit 238 our Exit is 258. So it is only 15 minutes or so Exit to Exit. But, you have to go thru Carthage, etc so that is another 15-20 minutes. It only seems like a quick 15-20 minute drive cause it is a pretty drive. There are a ton of hotels at Exit 238, Knights Inn is a Typical Interstate Type of Hotel. I have talked with folks who have stayed there, and they said it aint bad at all. But, there is a Comfort Inn and Comfort suites right accross the street from it. Lebanon is where we go for our shopping.

That is, if there is still room for him in the jam band. So, Bruce.......are you saying that Lebanon and the Knight's Inn is about as good as any of the other ones around there? Also hoping it's not too far away if we need a ride back and forth. Susan and Randy are renting a car, but we're staying longer so I'm hoping that won't be an imposition on anyone. If it is we'll rent our own car a few days sooner than we had planned.

Jax, we played for a very long time with a short break in between. We had never played together, except for me and Scott. we didn't even had a set list when we started. we'd just play a song then talked a sec between us picked another one and went for it. We did a ton of Skynyrd, and some others but only southern. it was all in the fun of it and we did have some fun.

Thanks Bobby. Craig's really looking forward to playing. I don't think he's real worried about it.....he hosts 2 open jam nights a week so he's pretty quick on his feet! But I know there is some southern stuff he hasn't played in a long time. He just needs to listen to some of them a couple of times is all. I was wondering how many other jam drummers there will be, do you know?

yes you all did and I have proof of that somewhere on tape. I'll have to find them and get them put on dvd. That would be great Bobby if you all stayed there too. That way we could see more of each other. Than we could all have breakfast in the morning. ;D
