I just wanted to take a second to say a couple of things... First, you guys and gals are all amazing. Everyone has really stepped up to help, and join in. Every year this seems to more than double. This Year looks to be no exception. I honestly think next year will almost be a festival, lol. Already started planning for it
Next Year will be on either June 14th or 21st. I need a vote on these dates from ya'all. I want to start making reservations and blacking dates for artists. Some of the artists I really wanted to join us were booked already. I will be starting a new planning thread for next years event.

On another note, our new friends, family and partners Larry and Wolf over at southern rock society have not only just been very supportive, they jumped right in to help and pitch in... Thanks ya'all you are AWESOME!!

Bruce you humble lil ol thing you! I'm not gonna attempt to speak for the rest of the DSJ family, but bro. I'm here because of a few things. One, I love this place and the folks here. Two, it's fun and even educational on subjects you won't find in a classroom anywhere. Because of DSJ, I've been rejuvinated in my writing and my love of southern rock. Along with all the above mentioned reasons, the main reason I stayed long enough to feel this way about the place is...well it's You brother! Your passion and love for the south and the southern way of life is REAL! It's easy seen in your devotion to, and the pride you show, in all things southern. I've made all the gatherings and I'll make EVERY one in person or in spirit. I hope to see the day when the folks there number in the thousands. And the bands in the hundreds! Because the cause is REAL and the folks are too! I support southern rock because to me it's the ONLY "from the heart and soul" music left. I can't even imagine the work Bobby and Jen done on the first two, much less what you and Denise have had to do for this one. Me saying "Thanks" ain't near enough! If I had the time and the resources my friend I'd foot the bill with a smile. Maybe one day.

Well brother, I wish I could take the credit you bestow on me. But, I am just am an idea man, and a organizer, you folks make it all happen. If Bobby did not have the BBQ / Jam idea it would not happen. If you all did not show up it would not have happened and grown every year. Ya'alls love and passion for it is my inspiration. And if it was not for my families support, and Great folks like D.Scott Miller, George, Candy, JoJo, Jimmie, Jane, etc all help to make this happen. Like I said, I am just the organizer.
You all are the backbone, And the BBQ and things I do I do for you.

I've had lots of fun the past 5 years getting to meet lots of friends and my BBQ is always something I've looked forward to and Bruce will make it a good one again this year. Evereyone here is good friends to me. Thanks

PB, You are welcome to camp in the yard, (already have a house full) Lot of folks are staying at Knight's Inn in Lebanon, TN Some are staying at Comfort Inn (Gordonsville) and Budget Inn in Carthage.

Don't know yet bird, shootin' for early Thur. morn so we can be there fri. morn to help Bruce and Denise with the final setup. If I leave here at oh say 7 thurs. morn. I'd be in Nashville by 7 that evening, where would you want to meet again I forgot? We've got a room from thurs. thru sunday at the Marriott at exit 258 on 40. Heh Heh! Cost my brother 55,000 pts. off of his frequent room user thing! He still has over 200,000 pts. tho so..... ;D
