Being on the Simpleman Cruise we had the Golden Oppurtunity to meet and chat with Chris. We heard from other sources that he was a wonderful person to chat with and by God every word of that is true. When we first encountered him I asked if I could get a picture of him and Mrs Hooty and he gladly oblidged. Mrs Hooty says to him you know Chris I never had my picture taken with you and in true Southern style and lingo he said Were fixin to changing that right now and gladly posed with her.. Now after the Marshall Tucker band put on over a 3 hour jam on the Lido deck we ran into him again and keep in mind also this was after they handed out photos and stuff after their jam and like 4 in the morning. You think the man would be dead tired and wanting to get out of there but he still had time for two more fans. Laurie says to him you know Chris the MTB should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and what Chris said next was really sweet, he said That is our Rock and Roll Hall of Fame right there just knowing our fans want us there in my mind puts us there already. Another thing he said about Mrs Hooty was that he was glad to hear that because he knew it was coming FROM HER HEART. I would just like to say thanks for sharing your HEART with us Chris Hicks because you are truly a GREAT PERSON in all aspects of life. Anyone got anymore Chris Hicks stories to share or photos please feel free to do so. We will add some more of his photos from time to time here and we hope you do also
