Talking about Cameron Crowe and Almost Famous....The way I heard it was it was based on a LOT of different bands he was on the road with in the 70's(allmans,skynyrd,zeppelin,doobies and many others) And I'm sure that y'all know there was really a southern rock band named "Stillwater", remember thier tune's Mindbender and Sam's Jam ??? I saw them live in the late 70's in Miami opening for Chuck Leavel & other ex-Allman Bros members band "Sea Level".
