I haven't been around here in a while, and had some time tonight.
I miss talking to all of you all the time, but workin a lot lately, and when I do get time off I have everywhere else to go, so when I finally get to set down, I usually fall asleep. I did read some of Jody's new lyrics and got inspired and wanted to share it with ya'll. I hope it's bearable.
I know I ain't the only one, but sometimes so it seems.
Tough times, but not knowin another livin.
Couldn't ask for any more, had it all worth havin.
Oh, what Mammas and Daddys do to keep a child from fearin.
That kind of time don't last forever, but the memories do.
Time is short, so use it while it lasts.
Days just come to go, never meant to stay.
Life's a windin road, with bends, and turns, and backtracks,
so every now and again, you catch a glimpse of home.
We're all grown up, and out our own.
Up every mornin, long before the sun.
Day after day to make ends meet.
Holdin on to a time gone by, wishin it back again.
