Hi! I need some help filling up the pages of SFM this coming issue. A couple of you know that I am kind of going through a tough time lately and I need to lean on, rather than being leaned on. One day, I hope to be the tough Colonel Tamar again, but everyone has her patches. In the meantime, I am looking for your family recipes, your concert pics, your band/CD reviews -- good, bad or ugly: we tell the truth! -- Southern travel, restaurant, and hunting/fishing pieces. Please send them to tfleishman@toad.net in the next couple of weeks. I know it's frantic this time of year..but really, this is the best holiday present you could get. I have never been super comfortable about reaching out for help when I need it, but this time, I have to try it. The well is dangerously dry. Thanks for understanding and being there for me.

We are going on the Skynyrd cruise January 10th till the 14th. I am sure we can give an article about how the cruise went. Will that fit into your timeframe??? Can we donate some pictures maybe. PM us and let us know what you need. The Calvary is on the way.

Thanks! Now I need help with the spam... Spam B Gone!! My God there was a bunch. I think when I started there were way over 200 of them hidden away in the comments sections all over the site. There are now 71 legit comments left. Unfortunately, Bruce had to disable the "comment" feature for the interviews and articles, which is a shame just because of these creeps that do this stuff. ALL of the ones I deleted yesterday were posted on Dec 18th within a 5 minute time period by the same person, same IP address. Not quite sure how that's possible unless it's done by a computer or something. I may have one interview, Tamar. Still haven't heard from the guy though. I'll keep trying.

A photography 101 article would be great. I think our readers would like tips -- I know I would! -- on how to deal with the weird lighting taking concert photos. I mean, sometimes, the flash makes it too bright, but you can't do no flash... and you don't often have permission to set up your own lighting. Can digital cameras every make the grade?

well look at hooty they're getting good stuff most of the time...but they need to keep it on manual cause the camera sees the dark back ground and then slows the shutter making the faces blown out and blurry....which I have told Eddy to go manual .....always go for a shutter speed of 125 or 180 at least ....always expose for the face and hands nothing else ....if the background lighting is part of the show then maybe up your iso to 800 and that should let that show up better ....spotlight s are a bi-otch ..... better to be darker than blown out cause then you can lighten it up with software and the detail is still there....
