After listening to some cuts off the Christmas Time Again CD a light bulb went off in my head ( which don't happen very often ) but do you notice a more Rock and Roll style to Lynyrd Skynyrd because the music is diffrent. What do ya'll think? ? could Skynyrd bridge another Genre of Music and put out a Rock and Roll Album instead of a Southern Rock Album. There is some really GREAT sounding geetar and pianer on the CTA album that is diffrent than the traditional sound of Skynyrd and I wonder if it should be explored by the band. The floor is OPEN to discussion on this one and hopefully there will be a lot of feedback.

I haven't heard that CTA album in a long time, I'll have to do that. But to me there's a real fine line between Southern Rock and Rock and Roll. Can't get much more RnR than Freebird or On The Hunt or That Smell. So, yeah.....their roots and influences are basically RnR and they were listening to the same stuff we were growing up. I think they could write some great new RnR tunes.......wonder why they're not.

Always thought the two linked together real close too.
