Well it has finally happened...Sweet Home Alabama has been banned from a Nashville bar. Actually all songs by Skynyrd are not allowed to be played in this bar called Sputniks in Hendersonville Tn. You can play AC/DC , Zep , Steppenwolf, Journey ,Styx etc... but no Skynyrd.
I would like to ask all our southern rock frynds to please visit another bar for business.
What were they thinking? Skynyrd is in everyones set list!!!!!

Let's get um Susan  Once we find out we can post thing on all our Message boards. Man it is not bad enough that they won't play any Skynyrd on any radio stations at home except for Q104 Classic Rock. We can't get any country station here either. |

I don't understand.......what's their reason? They had to give you guys a reason for not playing SHA and/or Skynyrd at all. Is it a "politically incorrect" thing? If so, I don't get that.....you're in TENNESSEE!
I'm getting a real good education about bar owners these last few years. We hear all kinds of BS, but I don't think I've ever heard of any of them telling a band what to play or not play! Unless of course it's a Blues bar and the band is playing "Rage Against The Machine!"
Glad to hear your guitar player set her straight. I think Craig would have said "up yours" and cancelled the rest of their gigs. And nooooooo, none of them pay enough.

It's a backwards world these days. I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan, have been since 1970, watched em play Chicago Sunday night and 2 of the commercials played during that game were in SPANISH!! With english in sub-titles!! NBC was promoting spanish futball and a Spanish channel or something. Look, this is America not a Latin country, I don't need SUB-TITLES to be translating Spanish to me! Then again 10 minutes ago I was getting ready for the pre-game for the Astros and the Reds on my satelite and the channel was playing xm radio and Saturday night special rocked me to the pre-game. ;D Hell folks we have a university ( Columbia) that brings one of the craziest terrorist on earth here to have a little heart to heart.  I "almost" believe there's an internal battle happening here on our soil right now.  It may be Tea party time again. ;D Maybe start with that Skunkniks place in Hendersonville TENNESSEE U.S.A. |

Time for the PEOPLE (that would be us) to start a revolution!!! Hey, they do it in other countries and have all throughout history. Those commercials in Spanish are just the beginning. Something really wrong with that.....are we now the minority in our own country?  |
