She is having back surgery today. It's an out patient thing so she'll be home some time this evening. I made her promise to have Randy call me as soon as they got home and got her settled. I'm not exactly sure what procedure they are doing today, but she has a fractured disk and some other things they are going to try to repair.

So, say a few prayers for her. She's going to be out of commission for a few days I'm sure. I'll let ya know what Randy has to say when he calls.

Sorry it took so long to post this. Susan called shortly after she got home. It turns out that they misdiagnosed her back problem. It's not a fractured disk and apparently she has really bad arthritis that's been causing her so much pain. Excruciating pain that has been so bad that she's been taking some pretty heavy duty pain meds. So, from what I understand there isn't anything to fix. And we all know that there isn't a cure and not much in the way of treating arthritis pain. She has a couple of options about which pain meds she can take I guess. She goes back to the Dr. in a few days and maybe he'll figure out what's best for her.

So, that's about all I know for now.

I don't know what could be worse back surgery or Arthritis. I hope she got the lesser of two evils. Take care of yourself and get better Miss Susan and listen to what the doctors tell ya. Ya don't want to be in a hostipal cause I don't think 38 Special does concerts in Hostipals

I'm so glad she didn't have to have surgery. I know arthritis is painful, but back surgery really sucks from what I understand.

Mrs. Hooty mentioned the other day about you being so ill.
I know you have to be in a lot of pain. My hubby had several slipped discs in his back in december of 2005. He was in pain for several months after that and was put on light duty at work.
I will pray for you.
