Need a favor

You all might remember me adding one of these videos a while back of this 11 year old kid named Eddie, who is a friend of Craig's. He lives with his dad half of the time and his mother the other half. His dad has really dedicated a lot of time and effort trying to help Eddie with his "career"........but his mother doesn't want him to play at all and is doing everything she can to take this away from him. Anyway, about 3 or 4 weeks ago Eddie was at his mother's house and spilled a Pepsi. He's 11 years old, that's what they do!! His mother's boyfriend got pissed and deleted his videos off of youtube for punishment. Yeah, what a sweetheart! The kid was heartbroken. He used to get a real kick out of going to youtube and reading all of the comments people added there.

After a couple of weeks his dad finally got somebody to transfer these videos from a VHS tape onto a DVD or CD or something and has just added them back on youtube. Thing is though, all of the old comments are gone. There were about 5 or 6 pages on each video. So, here's the favor........would you guys go over there and leave a comment on them? He'll be getting more just by people coming across them and also people here in town that have seen him play, but I thought I'd try to help it along. Means a lot to Eddie. These two performances were done about a year apart and you can really see the difference in his playing and technique in that year. He's an amazing kid and really fun to watch. He's even got that "guitar face" going on in the Cliffs Of Dover video. He's feeling it, man!! Oh, he sings, too!

WOW is right I just posted a bullitin on mypace about him....maybe he'll get alot more comments...Eddie Blue....lol he's already got the name ;D

Yep, he could be the next "anybody he wants" to be!! His dad's got his hands full with this kid, too. All he wants to do is play; not interested in school or doing normal kid stuff. Real sweet little guy, too. When he was 8 years old he was watching a video tape that his dad had of Stevie Ray Vaughan. He kept watching it over and over and over. What he was doing was watching SRV's fingers and memorizing the chords. A week or so later his dad bought him a guitar and he could actually play the thing just from watching other people play. 8 years old!

He has been to Austin, TX about 12 times I think. Jimmy Vaughan (Stevie's brother) has taken a real interest in him and finds him gigs here and there. He also got Eddie into the Austin Musician's Union so he's able to play everywhere....well, everywhere that a minor is legally allowed to play.

Anyway, thanks guys and thank you for posting that bulletin Tony. I'm sure people will start leaving comments now. That's cool!
