The DSJ myspace jukebox is up and I'm taking requests.  I spent a real long time loading these songs and I know I've missed a bunch that you all might like to hear. So, let me know what you'd like on there and I'll try to find it. I couldn't find "Down South Jukin" anywhere with a link that worked other than another band covering it. So if somebody can find it and send me the URL for a MP3 I'll add it. I've got this thing on shuffle, so you never know what song's gonna pop up when you go there. I'm still working on the slide show......there are 176 pictures in the gallery of just the 2007 Jam-A-Que so I'm kind of still going through them. And there's some editing I need to do on the one that's there. My next project will be one for the rest of us folks that weren't on stage. I wanted to keep them separate. Give me some time and I'll get it done as soon as I can. A little feedback would be nice too, because I'm doing this extra stuff all by myself.....after Bruce set up the site. Sometimes when you work on something for so long you don't know if it's any good or not after a while!!  Just need to know if it's how we want it to look and if I'm on the right track. And if you have any other ideas of stuff we can add, let me know. A video maybe? BTW, Bruce added a bunch of photos in the PIC section, so you can check those out too. I added a few from last year's shindig and will be adding some more from the gallery. Thanks folks! |

I already put a link for the Brickyard Road video earlier today that Bruce has on the old forum. The one with the lyrics to the songs and the photos of the Van Zant boys. Thought it looked nicer than just the video itself. Maybe it's hard to see, it's over on the left of the page under the music player. Thanks Janet. Like I said earlier......I'm working on another slide show of the DSJ members. It's just taking me a while to find all of the pictures, download them and get them up, but I'm working on it. The idea of the meet and greets is a good one and there's quite a few of those. That's good, thanks! There are a lot of pictures in the gallery for me to work with AND I'm working with a slight handicap......my slow computer! Takes me longer than it should, it freezes up and I have to shut it down and start over. That's why it's going so slow. I think Janet's idea of the meet and greet pics for the myspace is a good one. Soooo, if you want your picture on there, please send it to me and I'll put them on a new slide show. I don't really want to hunt through more pictures and I'd rather you decide which one ya want. Hootys......how about a favorite one or two for each of you Janet, Tony, Woodjam, Jody, GuitarMike, Caroline, Joe, Scott, Stan.....and whoever I may have left out.  |

;D The Jam-A-Thong!!! ;D Hey, it was a pretty wild party, maybe next year it WILL be a Jam-A-Thong! Ya never know......but you two better show up next year. Thank you Laurie. I have put a LOT of hours into that thing, so I appreciate the comment. I'm learning a lot about web sites, html codes, etc etc.....so it's been fun. BUT.....just because Susan and I were asked to build that site doesn't mean it's just ours, you know. It's DSJ's myspace, so it belongs to all of us. As of right now I'm kind of running out of ideas to make it better and more interesting. So if anybody has some ideas, let me know. I can add more pictures and videos but the thing is when there is a ton of that stuff on there, it makes loading pretty slow for a lot of computers. There are some myspace accounts I can't really even go to.....too much stuff. I also think dial-up people would have a helluva time going to those myspaces that are so full, too. The LS videos I put on there are interviews, not music. I thought that would be different and maybe more interesting. But, if there's one you want me to add I can. There are just so many great ones and I have a lot of personal favorites, one of them being the Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jam with Skynyrd doing Freebird a year or so after the plane crash. It's the one TonyB posted, which I think I'll add today. And pictures too, but I just can't load it all up with a ton of pictures either or I won't be able to work on it at all. And if that happens Bruce will have to hire someone else!  I still want to do another slide show of us DSJ people and the people we've met. So, let me know what you guys might want on there. I don't want to just start using other people's photos without permission.......so send them to me or tell me where they are and I'll download them and put them on. And music......I love picking out music for the player. If there's a song you guys want on there let me know and I'll try to find it on a MP3. I'm taking requests. ;D |
