MTB and Vol Jam

Hey ya'all, got a big favor. The Vol Jam show in Nashville has been cancelled. We just sent Chris Hicks a Signature McCorkle "Honey" guitar. I really want pics of him playing it on stage... Also, Steve Grisham (Ghost Riders) also just got himself one and would like photos of him playing it on stage.

Re: Induction of the Marshall Tucker Band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Dear President Peresman:

I am one of the many fans of the Marshall Tucker Band. I hereby request that they be nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.

The Rock and Roll Hall cannot be complete without the Marshall Tucker Band. Along with the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, both of whom have already been inducted, the Marshall Tucker Band developed and shaped southern rock in the 1970=s, and thereafter. No one can doubt their influence or contribution to rock and roll. They deserve a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

At some point, a petition, which I have also signed, will be submitted to you. However, it is my hope, along with the others who will write, that by writing we can speed up the process of getting the Marshall Tucker Band nominated and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Their first album, AThe Marshall Tucker Band@ was released in 1973. Thus, they were eligible for induction 9 years ago. Although many bands would like to be nominated, the Marshall Tucker Band is truly deserving, and they are past due. Please do what you can to get them nominated and inducted.
