Ok.. I need some help from somebody puter savvy.... they're tryin to get my myspace again. Ever since they got me the other day, when I log in I look at the addy and make sure it's sayin login etc like it's supposed to. Today it says Modules/Splash/Pages/Index.aspx so I won't log in... it's a phishing deal and apparantly that's what happened last time and I didn't notice. I don't know how to get around it and get rid of it... HELPPPPPPP

Anytime you see something like that, the safest thing to do is go up to the address bar and type in www.myspace.com. Usually, on those phishing scemes, you click on something first, then you get the message that says "You must me logged in to do that". So, if you see that, then DON'T CLICK ON ANYTHING ELSE. Just go to your address bar, and go to the real myspace.

Yep Teri I have with no response. Tulsa I've done that and still it give's me that weird addy on the login button
It's not mattering where I go to try to log in, I get that Modules/Splash/Index.aspx
Before yesterday it said myspace.login etc like it's supposed to. I've even shut down my modem and rebooted thinking maybe I'd get a new IP or something but didn't work

Sounds like ya need to delete the "cookies". If you're using Firefox, then:
1. Click on tools at the top of the menu bar. 2. Click "options" 3. When that opens, click on "privacy" 4. Click on "Show cookies" 5. Click on "Remove all cookies"
Microsoft internet explorer is a little different, and also, depending on the version of internet explorer, the steps will be a little different.
I'm pretty positive that it's cookies that's causing your trouble. If you can delete those, then you should be good to go.
I hope this helps. I'll be offline for about a week, so I won't be able to help ya any further after tonight. If you're still having problems when I get back, I'll be more then happy to help you.

Missy,
It sounds as if you're on the right track and doing the correct steps. Anytime I get some funny messages or I think anything funny is going on I change my password and keep changing it on a regular basis. Normally when they hack into your my space account it's when they've gotten your password and then they change and/ or delete things.
Good luck!
