Ok, how do I put this to you all that have been Praying, standing beside me and there to cheer me up with a joke. I guess just say it straight out.
I am no longer a candidate for the lung transplant. I have recently become sick with something they can not pin point. I will be going to the hospital on August 8th and 9th for testing. He says until this is figured out and fixed. I CAN NOT have the transplant. So my name is off for now. I wish I could say it ends there but it doesn't. It seems that if I have the transplant. My risk of dying on the surgery table is 20%. If I live, there are several other factors I have to seriously look at.
One: I have to take meds to KILL my amune system or my body won't except the lung. Which leaves me open to anything I catch can kill me. Two: After having the transplant my life exspectancy is no longer than 5 yrs. I could live 10 day or 5 yrs. But NO ONE has lived more than 5 yrs after having one. So until this new problem I've picked up which is not good. I have lost 22 lbs in less than three weeks. Not healthy due to the fact that I can't hold down any food. So that is why I'm going in for the tests next week. I'm at a loss for words and would gladly listen to any advice you have to give. That being said. Thanks for all your help and support.
