Ok, how do I put this to you all that have been Praying, standing beside me and there to cheer me up with a joke. I guess just say it straight out.
I am no longer a candidate for the lung transplant. I have recently become sick with something they can not pin point. I will be going to the hospital on August 8th and 9th for testing. He says until this is figured out and fixed. I CAN NOT have the transplant. So my name is off for now. I wish I could say it ends there but it doesn't. It seems that if I have the transplant. My risk of dying on the surgery table is 20%. If I live, there are several other factors I have to seriously look at.
One: I have to take meds to KILL my amune system or my body won't except the lung. Which leaves me open to anything I catch can kill me. Two: After having the transplant my life exspectancy is no longer than 5 yrs. I could live 10 day or 5 yrs. But NO ONE has lived more than 5 yrs after having one. So until this new problem I've picked up which is not good. I have lost 22 lbs in less than three weeks. Not healthy due to the fact that I can't hold down any food. So that is why I'm going in for the tests next week. I'm at a loss for words and would gladly listen to any advice you have to give. That being said. Thanks for all your help and support. On the bright side. I've gone from a 36 to a 33 waist

The lung transplant has always sounded pretty scary to me, too. You may do better without it anyway, Susan. Take one step at a time, let them figure out what has been making you so sick the last couple of weeks and go from there. I'm glad you're going into the hospital, too. You've had me really concerned this last week, so you need to be where they can watch and monitor what's going on with you. We're all here for you.....you already know that.

Susan, hearing about whats happening with your lung transplant weighs heavy on my heart. I'm inclined to believe that Tony is right about something better is going to happen in the long run.
I'm praying for you hard Susan. Keep up the positive outlook and remember that we are here for you every step of the way.
You have my numbers... dont hesitate to call.
