I'm not sure if anyone has noticed or not, but there's a lot of things being added here everyday. There are a lot of new music links that we've been working on but since nobody has left any comments, we can't tell if they are being viewed or not. Or if you even want to see them here. They will be listed under the band member's names under the Media section. Add some of your own favorites if you want or anything else you might think we'd all like to see.
PB, Susan and Missy and I have been working hard to transfer as much stuff over as we can from the old site, but it's going to take some time. So, if there is anything on the old site other than what's in the gallery or in some of the other areas there that can't be moved, please bring it on over here. It's a little too overwhelming for us to do alone. So, if we want to build the board back up we need help. The old board was built by ALL of us very slowly over the past 3 years or so and everyone got involved. It's unfortunate that we can't have all the thousands of posts here to refer to, but that's just the way it is. 
There are lots and lots of concert reviews that a lot of us posted. We don't want to lose all of those either. Susan and I can move over our own, but we just can't do all of them. So, if ya'll could just copy/paste your own here that would be great. They're fun to read and most of them took a long time to write and a lot of thought went into them. And make sure you date them, too. The dates won't be in the post section when you copy them.
We can make this place fun again if we all pitch in and help now that the site has been set up and organized.

Thanks Laurie. You and Eddy have contributed so much to the site with your stories and reviews and concert photos and it would be a shame to lose them. I know you work hard on them.
There's a separate section for both reviews and photos, but for right now just under Skynyrd, .38 and Van Zant. You can put them there so they won't get buried in Shootin' The Breeze. We'll figure out a place to put the ones that don't fall under those categories. If anybody has any ideas on how to set that up, let us know. Or maybe we can put them ALL in one place with sub-categories. What do ya'll think?

Well, since Skynyrd, 38 and Vanzant already have a section and easily referenced I would think it would be easier to find those there, and for the rest a different place with the sub's..
I wasn't sure where to put my grandaughter's pic's so put them under STB, but if there was a MISC photo place it wouldn't clutter up STB board..
Just my 2 cent's... whatever yall wanna do is fine with me

Please feel free to add photos to the galleries. That is what they are there for, and the galleries offer a lot of cool things like post cards, etc you can utilize.  |

Ok. Bruce is referring to the galleries on the old site. I didn't understand what we were doing here until a little while ago. The old place will still be used for everything but the stuff we have done here. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. Click on that link below and you'll see what I mean. Bottom line is.....we're linking the old site and the new site together. I think most/some of us thought this was a REPLACEMENT of the old board, hence the confusion.

When you get there, click on MEDIA and there will be a link to the gallery.
I did not see the Hootys picture gallery over there. Is it still there or does it need to be set up again? I added a place here for that earlier today, but I can delete it. Sorry folks, but communication about what we're doing here has been somewhat lacking.  I'm just trying to catch up. Guess I'm not doing a very good job.

I should say it was lack of communication. I am completely confused. But now I know the deal. It just would have been nice to know this all from the start. Sorry for the confusion folks. Lets just say this is the sister site to dsj. And from now on I'll keep my mouth shut untill I fully understand the situation. Sorry about that Bruce. Didn't mean for all this to happen with the confusion and mess with what a board, forum or site was. Now i do know though so i guess this was a good thing. I'm smarter now

No need for anyone to apologize.. at all. The Forums are awesome. Yes, the WHOLE site is getting a face lift. The thought was we were running the forums on the DSJ server and we were having so much issue with spammers, and some folks having issues logging in, etc. So, we are using the Proboards service as a solution to those issues. However, all the great info, pictures, etc are still on www.DownSouthJukin.com and this forum is part of that as well. It is just that PB, and Susan are doing so much on proboards and suggested this as a solution. And an awesome suggestion and solution it is.... You guys all rock... Teri, Susan, PB, and all the folks who have made this happen are amazing... Thanks ya'all. |

Which pictures are you talking about? The gallery pictures or your own personal ones? If you're looking for the gallery pics, they are in the same place they always were. Use this link to get to the old site, then click on Media. You'll see View Galleries. If you're looking for our old forum click on Community and then Old Forum, or whatever it says. Then do a search for your stuff. Is that what you're asking or are you talking about something else?
