Well, our girl's down again. She's got pneumonia. Day before yesterday she went to an urgent care type of place because she knew they would keep her if she went to the ER. The Dr. put her on antibiotics. She's having a lot of trouble breathing. This morning she was a lot worse so Randy took her to the ER. She just got home. So, she's on oxygen 24/7, heavy duty antibiotics and a pretty high dose of Prednisone. If she gets any worse she'll go back to the hospital and will have to stay until her fever is gone, the infection is cleared up and her oxygen level and her lungs are working better.

In case you're wondering why this happens so often, Susan has an extremely low immune system so she can't fight off any kind of infection at all. And most of the time whatever she gets attacks her lungs, which makes it harder for her to breath. Even being out in the cold or if it's rainy and wet can make her sick.

So, send her a prayer or two and keep her in your thoughts. Don't call her though, talking makes her breathing worse. We only talked for a couple of minutes. The best thing for her to do is sleep, but Prednisone will keep you from sleeping. I've been on that stuff before and that was the worst side effect I had.....at a much lower dose than she's taking. So she's on total bed rest and doesn't even want to be on the computer. Ya know she's really sick when that happens! I'll keep you posted.

I sure do hope you feel better soon. That is some hefty meds that you are taking...I know that you wern't able to keep food down. How are you making out with that now?

She's eating soup and it's staying down, last time I heard. So that's better than what ever it was she had before.

Susan called today just to let me know she was "still alive" because I hadn't heard from her in a few days and she hasn't been on the computer at all. She's not really doing any better. She's got stomach problems again and can't eat. Her Dr. wants to admit her for tests but she doesn't want to. I told her to DO IT anyway so they can figure out what's going on. She said if she doesn't start feeling better by tomorrow that maybe she will. So, that's all I really know, it was a short conversation. She's in bed most of the time and trying to sleep most of the time. Said she's really weak from lack of food and not much activity. She'll keep me up to date and then I'll let ya'll know what I hear. She needs to be in the hospital, so let's hope that's what happens......soon before she gets any worse. Poor thing.

Thanks Teri. I'm up and about today. Feeling better. Breakfast stayed with me so far and that is a good sign. I'll keep Teri informed if I go into the hospital. Love ya all
