OK I guess I'm gonna have to read to this cat from the book of life! Just how ignorant do you have to be to write for this Pitt paper? He not only needs to LISTEN to SHA but a little Saturday night special, That Smell and even Needle and a spoon! Then let him name a rap or hip hop group that has as many as one anti, drug, anti handgun or anti anything other than anti law and order in any one of their so called songs! Christ this dude should be charged with something! Maybe inciting a riot! He wants to talk about KFC promoting racsism, what the hell does he think he's promoting? I need a drink, and I don't even drink!

Yeah, have that drink Jody and go after this ignorant, racist dickhead! I'd like to see you challenge him with some Skynyrd lyrics vs Snoop Dogg lyrics. Then we can watch him squirm. ;D

SWEET HOME? Posted March 28, 2007 3 :16 PM
More than a week later, and I’m still receiving e-mails from angry Southern rock fans who feel my column questioning why Kentucky Fried Chicken would willfully use the racist, pro-segregation anthem “Sweet Home Alabama” as a TV commercial jingle. It’s a pity that not a single one of the messages I received could offer anything more than urban legends concerning how the band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, were, according to fans, not, in fact, endorsing racism with their hit song. Some claimed the song as actually a clever, sarcastic diatribe against racism (unsubstantiated, naturally) while other readers claimed to know the band who were allegedly big fans of black folks despite their frequent deployment of Confederate flags and the like. I particularly enjoyed this message that arrived from a reader decrying my alleged “racism” for noticing the song’s lyrics which champion Alabama’s segregationist Governor George Wallace:
“You are a racist scum just like your black buddies Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Why don’t you write a story about all the black person rapers who write songs about how cool it is to kill whites? I guess that doesn’t serve your purpose?”
Note to the wise: if somebody can show me a fast food restaurant that advertises its food with a racist rap song - let alone one espousing the murder of whites, I’ll attend a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. In traditional African garb, that is.....
