As many of you know there has been a conflict going on between a few members of the site. I really hate that this has happened. Unfortunately, I can not make folks get along etc. I can only hope that the conflict is resolved enough that everyone can co-exist. I am not assigning blame. I have tried to not get involved and hoped that the issue would be resolved on it's own. Unfortunately, it still has not. But, I can not allow the issue to be handled publically. So please, please, if you have an issues with another member of the forums please handle them via PM and not by public posts. All negative or public posting of this type will be deleted. I would prefer that the issue just be dropped, but I can not make anyone go against their grain. But please keep this in mind:
*The reason DSJ was created was to have a site where this kind of stuff did not happen against the band or it's members.
*That everyone here helps to create this site. Everyone contributes with photos, stories, reviews, and lot's of hard work.
*I could not do this without each and everyone of you. Some of you have been with me since day one. You have not only stuck with me and this site, but thru health issues, personal issues, etc, etc. You are all very dear to me. And like a parent who can't choose between one of his children, I often find myself in that position and it breaks my heart everytime someone does not understand that.
That being said, Please, no more posting like this publically. If you have to, do it via PM. I would however, just prefer that you just let it go. I don't expect you to like each other, just exist together. I hope my post is not misleading in anyway. It is not directed at any one individual. This is simply a reminder of the forum policy that has been in place from day one.
Lastly, I am going to say one thing on the matter. Teri is really heartbroken over this as am I. Teri, has worked her butt off on the magazine for me, and here as well. Unfortunately, one of her posts was taken the wrong way and this whole thing escalated. Teri, simply was doing her job. I had set guidelines for the magazine. The magazine has a format, and anything outside of that format Teri clears with me. So, if anyone wants to be hurt or mad at anyone, please direct it at me. George and I created the magazine. Since his passing, it is very important to me to keep his vision alive. That magazine was his idea and it took him 2 years to talk me into doing it. So, Please understand, sometimes I have to make judgement calls that may not make me popular. There is no prejudice. The magazine simply is about Southern Music, Culture, etc. If it does not fit that format, it simply does not belong there. No prejudice, no hurtful intent, just simply wrong format. That all being said, Teri, I appreciate all you do for me, the magazine, the site, etc. You spend hours and hours helping me without ever being asked. You just do it. I don't say it enough but, Thank you.
